We are currently seeking an experienced Fire Service & Maintenance Engineer to join a growing and highly motivated team delivering essential safety services across the Social Housing sector. This role focusses on PPM servicing, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of life safety systems, ensuring full compliance with health and safety standards. Each day will bring a variety of environments and locations, where you will act as a key representative of the business, providing excellent customer service and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain, fault-find, install, and commission:
    • Fire alarm systems (analogue addressable & conventional)
    • Automatic Opening Vents (AOVs)
    • CCTV systems
    • Access control systems
    • Warden call systems
    • Fire extinguishers
  • Complete accurate service and maintenance reports
  • Identify and report system faults, deficiencies, or deviations
  • Maintain and test emergency lighting systems and associated equipment
  • Manage van stock levels and coordinate replenishment
  • Promote a strong health & safety culture, identifying and reporting risks
  • Deliver a "first-time fix" wherever possible

About You

  • We are looking for someone who is reliable, detail-focused, and committed to high standards of safety and service.
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Proven experience with fire alarm systems
  • Knowledge of BS5839 (Part 1 and Part 6)
  • FIA training or equivalent (BS5839-1 Fundamentals)
