We are currently working exclusively with a local academy trust who are looking for a Transactional Finance Manager to join their team! You will be working closely with multiple teams and as part of a close-knit team. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Manager to lead the day-to-day operational finance function. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong background in financial management.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Lead the operational finance function, ensuring high levels of accuracy and compliance.
- Provide comprehensive financial support for schools within the Trust.
- Oversee financial administration related to purchasing, payments, banking, and income processing.
- Complete operational returns, such as VAT returns accurately and timely.
- Act as finance system administrator, controlling users and workflow.
- Collaborate with the CFO and other finance professionals to develop and implement standard operating procedures.
For this role you will need to be someone with excellent communication and organisational skills! You may have experience of supporting a team, but you will definitely need to have experience with high-volume processing. You may have undertaken an AAT qualification or be working towards one, but you will need strong knowledge of core accounting concepts and financial reporting.
