Your new company is an engineering expert specialising in critical infrastructure, providing specialist services to clients worldwide. They are an ambitious, innovative organisation within their sectors; young, progressive, responsive, client-needs-driven and on the cutting-edge of technology.

Your new role involves managing a number of key projects from concept through to completion, including installation and commissioning, and controlling capital expenditure in line with budgets. You will lead teams of all disciplines and subcontractors, provide technical expertise in all areas of the water industry, follow technical specifications and deliverables of projects in accordance with client specifications, and liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure successful project delivery. You will act as the company representative at client site and contract meetings. With guidance from the in-house SHEQ Manager, you will ensure all Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality matters are effectively managed, including the generation of risk assessments, method statements, and the enforcement of all relevant legislative requirements.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm.

What you’ll need to succeed: Ideally, you will have an engineering-related qualification or other relevant subject. You should have a demonstrable track record of success in planning, budgeting, executing, and delivering complex projects on time and to budget. A working knowledge of industry practice and H&S legislation, including management of risk assessments and HAZOPS, is essential. You must be able to work at remote sites either on your own or with others, demonstrate commercial awareness, and have the ability to recognise new opportunities. Being computer literate and holding a driving licence is also required.
