The company: You will be joining a market-leading FMCG business which is continually expanding in a varied lead role. The UK Product Manager will play a strong part in developing manufacturing sales, supply chain and engineering proficiencies across the country. The ideal candidate will come from a similar industry such as chemical engineering, process engineering, light machinery, energy, fuel or similar and will have excellent business development and sales skills. This role would suit an experienced sales professional from a technical background who is experienced and skilled at managing new product lifecycles from initial start-up through supply chain, development, market analysis, launching and further. Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop and progress key relationships with new and existing clients and customers.
  • Lead commercial negotiations including pricing, terms of sale, etc.
  • Develop and deliver the UK go-to-market strategy for a product tailored for small engines and specialist machinery.
  • Develop and deliver the UK go-to-market strategy for a premium fuel product tailored for small engines and specialist machinery.
  • Define the long-term organisational structure required for UK growth and lead recruitment planning.

Skills and Experience required:

  • Experience in a similar role from a similar background, such as Energy, Oil & Gas, Fuel, Commercial DIY or Tools.
  • Experience in a sales, key account management or business development role.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, engineering, or equivalent (e.g. technical apprenticeship with commercial training).
  • Experience working with SMEs and multinational corporate structures.
