Your new role As Production Shift Manager, you will lead manufacturing operations on shift, ensuring the efficient use of manpower, machinery, materials, and methods to achieve the highest standards of safety, quality, productivity, and service. Working as part of the Production Management Team, you will be responsible for delivering operational targets, monitoring performance against KPIs, developing and motivating teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the production environment.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and motivating production teams to achieve operational and departmental objectives.
- Monitoring production performance and analysing data to identify opportunities for improvement.

- Ensuring production schedules and customer delivery requirements are achieved.

- Working closely with engineering and technical teams to support planned maintenance activities.

- Championing a positive Health & Safety culture and ensuring compliance with all company procedures.
- Supporting quality and environmental management systems and associated standards.
- Participating in HR-related activities including performance management, attendance management, and employee development.
- Producing and maintaining management reports, performance metrics, and KPI dashboards.
What you'll need to succeed:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory or management role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and motivating production teams.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality standards.
- Experience working with ERP systems and production reporting tools.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organisation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
