Your new company Our client operates critical infrastructure within a major port and industrial environment, supporting around‑the‑clock operations and global supply chains. Your new role As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of a wide range of heavy mechanical plant and equipment. Your role will focus on ensuring assets remain safe, reliable, and fully compliant with statutory and regulatory standards.You will carry out planned preventative maintenance and inspections, identify and report defects, and respond to reactive faults to minimise operational disruption. Working hands‑on with mechanical systems such as impounding pumps, hydraulic systems, dock gates, bridges, and associated infrastructure, you will diagnose faults and undertake repairs using appropriate tools and techniques.All work will be completed in line with health, safety, environmental, and engineering procedures. You will also support delivery of the engineering maintenance plan and participate in an on‑call rota to provide out‑of‑hours support when required.
