Your new company Our client is a well-established, multi-site engineering business based in Liverpool, specialising in electrical, electronic and mechanical engineering services. They provide a complete turnkey fault-finding, repair and manufacturing service to a diverse customer base and continue to experience sustained growth. Your new role As an Electrical Fitter (rotating equipment), you will be responsible for the dismantling, repair, testing and reassembly of a wide range of electrical rotating equipment, including AC/DC motors, brake motors, gearboxes, pumps and fan units. You will carry out fault-finding, transformer testing and repairs, dynamic and static testing, and attend customer sites to diagnose issues with motors and generators. The role also includes participation in a paid out-of-hours call-out rota. What you'll need to succeed To be successful, you will have proven experience repairing electrical rotating equipment and strong fault-finding abilities. Experience working with AC/DC motors, transformers and testing equipment is essential. Knowledge of alternators would be advantageous, while experience winding armatures, stators and rotors would be highly desirable and may attract enhanced rates of pay. What you'll get in return You'll receive a competitive starting rate of £19.00 per hour, with realistic earnings of £40,000 to £45,000 per annum. Additional benefits include overtime opportunities, paid call-out cover, company pension, death-in-service benefit, and 4 weeks' annual leave increasing to 5 weeks after two years' service, plus bank holidays.
