Your new company A well-established engineering firm in the Portadown area is seeking a proactive Health & Safety Officer to oversee workplace safety and coordinate maintenance activities across its operations. With a team of around 40 skilled professionals, the company prides itself on delivering high-quality engineering solutions while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. Your new role As the Health & Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation. You will also play a key role in coordinating maintenance activities to support operational efficiency. Your duties will include developing and implementing H&S policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments and safety audits, investigating incidents and recommending corrective actions, delivering H&S training and toolbox talks and ensuring compliance with ISO and HSE standards. Yo will be liaising with external bodies (e.g. HSE, insurers) as required, coordinating planned and reactive maintenance schedules, managing contractor activities and maintenance records, supporting engineering teams with equipment inspections and upkeep.
