Your new company Are you an experienced and qualified Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer looking to develop your experience in a leadership role and beyond? Do you have experience in an industrial environment working with heavy plant and equipment? Our client is seeking a maintenance shift team leader. Your new role In this role, you will work with the Engineering Manager, Supervisors, and Team Leaders within the Bulk and Break Department to ensure on-time delivery, continuous flow, customer satisfaction, and zero defects. You will be part of a rolling shift pattern, carrying out maintenance on heavy plant and equipment.You will complete planned and reactive maintenance activities and carry out modifications to all types of heavy plant and equipment. Liaising with operations to prioritise breakdown repairs, you will use fault-finding diagnostic techniques and equipment to reduce the impact of reactive maintenance. You will assist the management team when required in a range of activities, including project work, QA systems, and Health and Safety. It\’s vital that all activities are documented and carried out with due care and attention in line with our Health and Safety policy and HSE regulations. What you\’ll need to succeed Qualified to a minimum of ONC/HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. Experience working with heavy plant and equipment in an industrial environment, ideally within Bulk Handling operations or similar. Extensive practical experience with relevant plant and equipment, including conveyor systems and rotating equipment. Ability to fault find and problem solve, utilising diagnostic equipment. Previous experience in a supervisory position and knowledge of DSEAR, LOLER, and PUWER is desirable. Strong experience in managing and supervising contractors. Commitment to maintaining the safety of team members. Good working knowledge of permit to work systems and accident reporting.
