Your new company A leading manufacturer in the Portadown area is experiencing continued growth and product expansion. As a result, they are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join their Assembly Operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a forward-thinking organisation that values quality, safety, and innovation. Your new role As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the assembly of heavy machinery and mechanical components. You\’ll work from detailed assembly drawings and ensure all tasks are completed to the highest standards. Key duties include reading and interpreting assembly drawings, assembling mechanical parts and components, safe and effective use of power tools, maintaining a clean and organised work environment. Reporting defects to the Assembly Team Lead and upholding quality standards throughout the build process.Mon – Thur 8am – 5pm and Fri until 2pm What you\’ll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you should have proven experience assembling heavy machinery, competence in using power tools, strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, ability to undertake manual handling tasks and desirable experience with overhead cranes and forklift trucks.
