We are recruiting for a Young Person s Project Officer to join a housing association on a full-time, temp basis. 3-week rolling rota, covering shifts between 8am and 8pm - no weekends included!
An enhanced DBS with both barred lists is essential for this role.
Your new role As a Young People s Project Officer, you ll deliver a blend of 1 1 support, group work, advice, signposting, and practical assistance to young people aged 16-24.
You ll work 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on a rota of shifts between 8am and 8pm.
The role includes supervising young people within the service, covering reception when required, attending external appointments, and providing steady, reliable support that helps young people build confidence and independence.
You ll play a key part in maintaining a safe, welcoming environment and ensuring young people feel listened to and supported throughout their journey.
What you ll need to succeed Experience working with young people in a support, housing, youth work or community setting.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with young people.
Confidence delivering 1 1 support and group sessions.
Ability to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally.
Knowledge of safeguarding and risk awareness.
Flexibility to work shifts between 8am-8pm.
