Your new company A leading Tier 1 main contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the fit-out phase of a major new-build hotel development in Wigan. This is a high-profile project requiring a strong construction professional with an extensive background delivering complex schemes for recognised Tier 1 businesses.Your new role Reporting to the Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the internal fit-out works, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards. Key responsibilities include: Managing subcontractors and direct labour on site Coordinating all internal fit-out activities and trade interfaces Driving programme and monitoring progress against key milestones Ensuring health & safety compliance across all site operations Carrying out quality inspections and managing snagging processes Leading site meetings and liaising with project stakeholders Managing look-ahead programmes and short-term planning Supporting commissioning, testing and final handoverWhat you'll need to succeed Minimum 10 years' experience working for Tier 1 main contractors Proven track record delivering large-scale commercial, hotel, healthcare, education or similar fit-out projects Experience managing projects from first fix through to handover Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills SMSTS, First Aid and Black CSCS Card Excellent understanding of health & safety and quality processes Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and drive programme deliveryWhat you'll get in return Immediate start 12-month freelance contract Competitive day rate Opportunity to work on a flagship hotel development Long-term project with a respected Tier 1 contractor Potential for further contract opportunities upon successful completioWhat you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
