General Manager - Electrical & Retrofit Services An established and growing property services contractor is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead and develop its Electrical division. Operating across planned maintenance, responsive repairs, retrofit and decarbonisation programmes, this is a key leadership appointment with responsibility for operational performance, business growth, compliance and service delivery This role would suit either a qualified Electrician with significant leadership experience or a degree-qualified professional with a strong technical understanding of electrical services. The successful candidate will have a proven background within the social housing maintenance sector and experience delivering retrofit and energy efficiency projects The Role Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management and growth of the Electrical business unit Key responsibilities include Leading operational delivery across electrical maintenance, compliance, retrofit and investment programmes Driving business performance, profitability and operational excellence Managing and developing contracts, teams and supply chain partners Ensuring compliance with all electrical regulations and industry standards Supporting business development activities, bid submissions and client relationship management Overseeing delivery of social housing maintenance and refurbishment contracts Developing growth strategies within retrofit, decarbonisation and renewable technologies Leading workforce planning, recruitment and succession initiatives Monitoring financial performance, budgets, KPIs and contract profitability Promoting a strong health, safety and quality culture across all operations Requirements Electrical qualifications including 18th Edition Either a qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 / equivalent) or degree qualified in a relevant discipline Proven leadership experience within an electrical contracting or property services environment Strong knowledge of social housing maintenance and planned works Experience delivering retrofit and decarbonisation projects Strong commercial awareness Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills Strong understanding of compliance, legislation and industry best practice Ability to lead multi-disciplinary operational teams What's on Offer Leadership position with significant autonomy and influence Opportunity to shape and grow an expanding electrical division Diverse portfolio of social housing maintenance and retrofit contracts Competitive salary and benefits package Long-term career progression within a successful and growing business If you're an experienced electrical leader looking to take ownership of a growing business unit and play a key role in its future development, we'd be keen to hear from you What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
