Your new role involves supporting the commercial delivery of projects as a Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor. The role requires a commercially astute professional with strong experience working to the National Schedule of Rates (NSR) and proven capability managing projects through delivery and final accounts.
Key Responsibilities:- Full commercial management of assigned works packages
- Preparation, assessment, and agreement of valuations
- Administering and managing change in accordance with the National Schedule of Rates
- Cost reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Procurement and management of subcontractors
- Preparation and negotiation of final accounts
- Supporting the commercial strategy to maximise value and minimise risk
- Working closely with site and project teams to ensure robust cost control
- Proven experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on UK projects
- Strong demonstrable experience using the National Schedule of Rates (NSR)
- Background with main contractors preferred
- Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities effectively
