This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Telford office with hybrid working.
Your new role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of projects from tender handover through to final account. Working closely with operational teams, clients and subcontractors, you will ensure projects are delivered profitably while maintaining strong commercial controls and contractual compliance.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing project costs, budgets and financial reporting.
- Preparing valuations, applications for payment and final accounts.
- Procuring and commercially managing subcontractors and suppliers.
- Identifying, valuing and negotiating variations and compensation events.
- Monitoring project performance, cash flow and forecasts.
- Managing risk and ensuring effective commercial governance.
- Supporting contract administration and maintaining accurate project records.
- Building strong working relationships with clients, stakeholders and project teams.
- Contributing to the successful commercial delivery of multiple construction and civil engineering projects.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must have:
- Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying (or similar qualification) or experience equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering.
- Working knowledge of NEC form of contract.
- Experience managing subcontractors and supply chain relationships.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
