Your new company is a respected property management and real estate services organisation operating across the Midlands. Their work spans lettings, sales, property management and investment support, serving landlords, tenants and buyers. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a skilled Carpenter/Multi-Skilled Operative to join their team in a permanent role covering Telford and the surrounding areas.
Your new role involves delivering high-quality maintenance, repair and installation work across a diverse property portfolio.
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £38,000- £40,000 per annum + Van & Fuel Card
Your responsibilities will include:
- Health & Safety compliance for yourself and the wider team
- PPM inspections and estate-wide assistance as required
- Out-of-hours service on a periodic rota
- Maintenance of leisure properties and promotion of Bradford Estates' interests
- Skip management and providing advice on property condition and history
- Measurement taking, site preparation and timber sourcing
- Preparing drawings for cabinetry, framing and other woodwork
- Designing and installing fitted wooden shelves, cabinets and drywall
- First and second fix installation of fixtures and fittings
- Selection and evaluation of materials for defects
- Reading and interpreting architect design specifications
- Liaising with tenants, suppliers and external contractors
- Assessing and reviewing additional carpentry or joinery refurbishments
- All general woodwork tasks
- Occasional basic plumbing
- Repair and installation of windows
- Decoration as required
- Assistance with meter readings
- Tool management and maintenance of qualifications and training
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Proven experience as a carpenter or multi-skilled tradesperson
- Strong joinery and woodwork skills, including design, installation and refurbishment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and architectural specifications
- Confidence liaising with tenants, contractors and suppliers
- A proactive, flexible approach with the ability to work independently
- A full UK driving licence
