This multi-sector and agile contractor operates across a diverse portfolio of both public and private sector infrastructure projects and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are actively seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Central region team. This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Tamworth office with hybrid and flexible working.
Your new role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of infrastructure and civil engineering projects, ensuring financial performance is maximised whilst maintaining the highest standards of project delivery.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing project costs and commercial performance from inception to completion
- Administering and managing contractual obligations and commitments
- Producing and managing cost value reconciliations, forecasting and cost planning activities
- Supporting project teams to identify efficiencies and value-engineering opportunities
- Building effective relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
- Providing accurate commercial analysis, reporting and financial oversight across projects.
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you will bring:
- Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying (or similar qualification) or experience equivalent
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within heavy civils, working with NEC form of contract
- Proven expertise in CVRs, cost planning and forecasting
- Ability to build relationships with key project stakeholders and influencers
- Strong organisational, analytical and reporting capabilities
- Full UK driving licence.
