Section Engineer - Southern Water FrameworkContract Role | Main Contractor | Southern Region | Competitive Day Rate Hays Civil Engineering is working with a leading UK infrastructure contractor to recruit an experienced Section Engineer to support the delivery of major water and wastewater projects across the Southern Water framework. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing programme of work delivering critical infrastructure improvements throughout the South of England. With projects located across the Southern Water region, candidates can be based from a variety of locations and will support the delivery of schemes including water treatment works, wastewater treatment facilities, pipeline installations and associated civil engineering infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Setting out and surveying works in accordance with project specifications Managing engineering activities across allocated sections of work Producing and reviewing RAMS, ITPs and quality documentation Coordinating subcontractors and site teams to ensure safe, efficient delivery Ensuring works are delivered in line with programme, quality and HSEQ requirements Maintaining accurate site records and as-built information Supporting commercial teams with site measurements and progress reporting Liaising with clients, designers and project stakeholdersRequirements Previous experience as a Section Engineer, Site Engineer or Senior Engineer within civil engineering infrastructure Strong background delivering water, utilities, highways, rail or heavy civil engineering projects Experience working for a principal or Tier 1 contractor Proficiency with setting out equipment and engineering software Good understanding of quality assurance and technical documentation HNC, HND or Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline CSCS Card as a minimumDesirable Experience Water treatment or wastewater treatment projects Pipeline, reinforced concrete or MEICA-related infrastructure schemes NEC contract experience Southern Water, AMP or regulated utility environment experience What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
