Your new role To lead, plan, develop and deliver an expert professional service within the Asset Management Service. To support the development, management and delivery of council services. Manage staff responsible for service delivery / support within the service area. To ensure the Council maximises service outcomes in relation to cost. The VCS Surveyor is responsible for managing assets within the Council's property portfolio used by the borough's voluntary and community sector. This includes developing a comprehensive VCS strategy, which maximises use and value of the Council's assets in line with corporate and political priorities. The postholder will be required to develop positive working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including members, local landowners and VCS groups. What you'll need to succeed Substantial experience in a similar sized complex public sector organisation working within an asset management function. Experience and knowledge of the property lifecycle, strategic asset management, financial analysis and risk management. The ability to develop strategies, policies and procedures, aligning them with service and corporate priorities.
