Your new company

Excellent opportunity to join a Local Authority as the Senior Estates Surveyor within their Estates Management function.

As the postholder you will deliver a wide range of commercial estate management duties, ensuring the organisation's property portfolio is effectively managed.

You will be joining an experienced Estates team and will benefit from hybrid working which includes working one day in the office per week.

Your new role

The role is responsible for delivering a full range of commercial estate management activities including lettings, rent reviews, lease renewals and asset management.

As part of the role you will also be responsible for managing service charges and arrears.

Within the role you will carry out property inspections and be involved in reviewing the asset portfolio including acquisitions and disposals and undertaking valuation work.

Working closely with Facilities Management colleagues, you will also ensure assets are compliant and safe for occupation.

This role is offered on a temporary contract of six months, with potential to extend.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful in this role, you should hold a degree level qualification (or equivalent) in an Estate Management discipline or similar.

MRICS is preferred, although not essential.

Strong knowledge of Landlord and Tenant law is essential and you should have experience working within commercial asset management.

A driving licence and access to a vehicle is required for the role.
