An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a long-established and highly respected architectural practice based near Preston. With a heritage spanning almost 100 years, this award-winning practice has built an outstanding reputation for delivering innovative, technically complex and sustainable projects across the UK. The business operates within specialist sectors including education, healthcare, science & research, and industrial & advanced manufacturing, working with a range of prestigious public and private sector clients.
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are seeking an Architect or Senior Architect to join their established team.
Your new role
You will play a key role in the delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects from concept design through to completion. Working within a collaborative office environment, you will contribute to technically challenging schemes whilst supporting the development of sustainable and innovative design solutions.
The successful candidate will:
- Lead and contribute to projects across education, healthcare, science & research, and industrial sectors.
- Produce high-quality technical and design documentation.
- Liaise with clients, consultants and project stakeholders.
- Support project delivery through all RIBA stages.
- Develop designs using REVIT and BIM workflows.
- Assist with project coordination and contract administration where required.
- Mentor and support junior team members (Senior Architect level).
What you'll need to succeed
- ARB registered Architect with relevant post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience delivering projects within one or more of the following sectors: Education, Healthcare, Science & Research, Industrial & Advanced Manufacturing.
- Strong technical and design abilities.
- REVIT proficiency is highly desirable. Training and further development can be provided for candidates with some existing REVIT exposure.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Due to the secure nature of several projects, applicants must be UK nationals.
- Experience within residential housebuilding, volume housing developments or predominantly domestic residential projects is unlikely to be the right fit for this position.
