Your new role Design and manage construction projects, overseeing the planning, execution, and completion stages to ensure compliance with specifications, regulations, and client requirements Administer construction contracts, such as JCT forms, ensuring adherence to terms and conditions, payment schedules, and dispute resolution procedures. Financial management of construction projects and reporting to clients. Conduct thorough site inspections and surveys of buildings, including residential and commercial properties. Utilise various tools and techniques to assess the condition of buildings, identifying structural issues, defects, and potential hazards. Prepare detailed reports outlining survey findings, project proposals, and recommendations for repairs, maintenance, or renovation Provide expert advice and guidance to clients regarding building regulations, codes, standards, and compliance requirements throughout the project life cycle. Attend meetings, site visits, and presentations as required to support project objectives and facilitate effective communication among project team members. What you'll need to succeed You will have demonstrable building surveying experience in a similar role. Including construction project management, and contract administration, preferably in a consultancy or surveying firm. Strong knowledge of building construction, materials, techniques, regulations, and contract law, including familiarity with JCT contracts.
