About the Role
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable plumber to support a university estate team on a short-term contract. This role focuses on reactive maintenance across campus buildings, helping ensure facilities remain safe, operational, and compliant for staff and students. Key Responsibilities
- Carry out reactive plumbing works across the university estate
- Repair and maintain sanitary systems including toilets, sinks, baths, and taps
- Diagnose and resolve leaks, blockages, and general plumbing faults
- Replace or repair fixtures, fittings, valves, and associated pipework
- Respond promptly to maintenance issues to minimise disruption on site
- Follow all health and safety procedures and site regulations
- Complete job reports and maintain accurate maintenance records
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing (minimum) or equivalent
- Proven experience in reactive maintenance or similar environments
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of health and safety practices
- Reliable, punctual, and professional with a customer focused approach.
