Our client, a large housing association, is looking for an experienced Resales & Staircasing Officer to manage a caseload of shared ownership resales, staircasing transactions and ad hoc empty property disposals. The role will provide a customer-focused service to existing and prospective homeowners, guiding customers through the full transaction process from instruction through to legal completion.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of resales, staircasing and void property disposals.
  • Act as the main point of contact for customers throughout transactions.
  • Ensure cases are progressed efficiently, accurately and in line with agreed targets.
  • Liaise with solicitors, agents and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver excellent customer outcomes.
  • Support continuous improvement of processes and service delivery.

Essential experience:

  • Residential conveyancing experience.
  • Strong customer service and case management background.
  • Experience managing a high-volume workload and meeting deadlines/KPIs.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills and strong attention to detail.

Desirable:

  • Shared ownership resales and staircasing experience.
  • Housing sector knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Experience working with legal advisers and external partners.
