Your new company: A well-established organisation operating across the UK and Ireland is continuing to expand its high-street and commercial estate. Due to ongoing growth and new site openings, they are strengthening their Facilities team and are now seeking experienced Electricians to support multiple locations across London and the South of England.
Your new role: As an Electrician, you will be responsible for delivering electrical maintenance and installation works across both existing and new sites. This is a mobile, home-based role covering Greater London, with regular regional travel and occasional travel further afield.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out electrical maintenance, repairs, testing, and installations
- Supporting electrical fit-outs of new sites and refurbishments
- Ensuring all works comply with current electrical regulations and standards
- Completing planned and reactive maintenance tasks
- Assisting and liaising with subcontractors attending site
- Managing inspection, testing, and certification records
- Completing periodic inspection and testing to ensure compliance
- Undertaking PAT testing and managing associated documentation
- Testing emergency lighting, generators, and associated systems
- Raising material requisitions and maintaining accurate stock records
- Executing work schedules efficiently and submitting job sheets promptly
- Conducting site inspections and reporting any defects or required works
- Ensuring strict compliance with health & safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Maintaining accurate records and reports for audits and compliance
What you'll need to succeed:
- 18th Edition wiring regulations qualification
- JIB Approved Electrician status
- Strong understanding of building regulations for electrical installations
- Experience working across commercial and/or industrial environments
- Knowledge of generators, CCTV, and BMS systems
- Ability to carry out inspection, testing, and fault-finding works
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- A proactive and professional approach to work
- Full UK driving licence
- Flexibility to travel across London and occasionally other regions
Desirable (but not essential):
- Previous experience in a facilities or multi-site role
- Experience with PAT testing and thermal imaging
- CSR card
- Ability to work across domestic, commercial, and industrial installations
