Hays Education are working in partnership with a mainstream primary school in Anfield who are seeking a Level 3 Qualified 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This role will involve providing targeted one-to-one support for a pupil with additional needs, ensuring they are fully supported to access learning and achieve their potential.
The role will involve:
- Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND)
- Supporting the pupil to access the curriculum and engage positively in classroom activities
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to deliver targets set out within the EHCP, IEP, or individual support plans
- Planning and adapting learning activities, resources, and teaching strategies to meet individual needs
- Supporting communication skills, language development, and social interaction
- Promoting emotional wellbeing, self-regulation, and positive behaviour
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and sustained engagement in learning
- Using your Level 3 knowledge and experience to contribute effectively to the wider classroom environment
Previous Experience Required:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND in a mainstream or specialist school setting
