About the Role:

We are working with a Primary School in Liverpool to recruit a Learning Support Assistant to join their early years team. You will be supporting a mainstream primary school with a high proportion of pupils who speak English as an Additional Language (EAL). This role involves supporting individual and small groups of children, some of whom have Special Educational Needs (SEN), to ensure they can access learning and thrive in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to children with EAL and SEN needs, helping them engage in classroom activities.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Assist with language development through structured activities and play-based learning.
  • Promote inclusion and positive behaviour within the classroom.
  • Support with personal care and daily routines where required.
  • Prepare resources and contribute to a stimulating learning environment.

  • Experience working with young children, ideally in an early years setting.
