You will be joining a multi-accredited and industry-leading Tier 1 contractor, recognised for delivering complex, high-profile infrastructure projects that shape the nation's future. As part of the Sizewell C programme - one of the most significant low-carbon energy developments in a generation - you will join a collaborative, safety-led and forward-thinking team committed to engineering excellence. This is a full-time permanent position based on site in Leiston.
As Section Engineer, you will take a leading role in the delivery of civil engineering works on Sizewell C. You will provide technical leadership on site, support and mentor Site Engineers, and work closely with Site and Project Managers to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading setting-out and engineering control for complex civils packages
- Managing and coordinating Site Engineers and subcontractors
- Ensuring works comply with drawings, specifications and nuclear quality standards
- Driving a strong safety culture in a highly regulated environment
- Producing and reviewing ITPs, RAMS and technical documentation
- Monitoring progress against programme and resolving technical issues
- Maintaining accurate site records, QA documentation and as-built information.
This is a long-term role offering genuine responsibility, visibility and career progression on a flagship infrastructure project.
In order to be successful, you will bring:
- A degree/HNC/HND in Civil Engineering (or a related discipline) or experience equivalent
- Proven site engineering experience within heavy civils, ideally on major infrastructure projects
- Strong setting-out capability using modern instruments (GPS, total station, laser levels)
- Knowledge of construction methodologies, specifications and quality processes
- Excellent communication, coordination and mentoring skills
- CSCS, SSSTS/SMSTS and a full UK driving licence.
