We are currently recruiting for experienced Carpenters / Joiners to join a well-established Housing Association operating across the East Midlands. This role sits within the Planned Works Team, focusing primarily on the installation and refurbishment of kitchens within occupied residential properties. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term contract with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
The Role
As part of a dedicated kitchen fitting team, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality carpentry and joinery works within social housing properties, ensuring all work is completed to a professional standard with a strong focus on customer service.
Typical duties will include:
- Kitchen fitting and installation
- Replacing kitchen units, worktops and associated joinery
- Completing remedial carpentry works
- Working within occupied residential properties
- Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations
- Maintaining excellent standards of workmanship and customer care
Requirements
To be considered for this position you must have:
- Previous experience working as a Carpenter / Joiner within a kitchen fitting or planned maintenance environment
- Experience working within social housing, local authority or residential property maintenance (preferred)
- Own van and tools
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ideally, you will hold:
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Carpentry & Joinery, or City & Guilds qualification in Carpentry & Joinery. However, relevant industry experience will be considered in place of formal qualifications.

Location
There are three separate teams operating across the East Midlands, meaning work will be allocated based on your home location to minimise travel and keep you working within a suitable local area whenever possible.
