Your new company Hays Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Painter & Decorator to join a busy social housing maintenance contract covering properties throughout Lancaster. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled painter looking for long-term, consistent work carrying out planned and responsive decorating works within tenanted and voided social housing properties.
Your new role As part of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for:
- Internal and external painting and decorating works
- Preparing surfaces including filling, sanding and making good
- Emulsion and gloss painting
- Decorating void and occupied properties
- Carrying out minor repairs prior to painting
- Ensuring work is completed to a high standard
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Providing excellent customer service when working in tenants' homes
What you'll need to succeed:
- Previous experience as a Painter & Decorator
- Experience working within social housing, domestic maintenance or property repairs
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Good knowledge of health and safety procedures
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred
- Own tools required
