A well-established Derby-based main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Site Manager to join its growing team. The company delivers projects across the retail, commercial, education and industrial sectors, with project values ranging from £1m to £10m. The initial project is a 45-week scheme in Hull, with a strong pipeline of future work located throughout the Midlands.
You will take full responsibility for the delivery of a refurbishment and fit-out project in Hull. The scheme will begin with a strip-out and refurbishment phase, followed by a 10-week design and pre-construction period, before moving into the final installation and fit-out stage.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing all day-to-day site operations.
- Leading site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensuring health, safety, quality and programme targets are achieved.
- Coordinating with clients, consultants and design teams.
- Driving project delivery from start through to completion.
- Maintaining site records and using digital site management software.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager or Senior Site Lead.
- Experience delivering projects valued between £1m-£5m, with exposure to schemes up to £10m.
- Background in retail, commercial, education or industrial construction.
- Experience managing refurbishment, extension and fit-out projects.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Essential qualifications:
- SMSTS
- CSCS Card
- First Aid at Work
- NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management (or above)
Experience using systems such as Biosite and/or Work Wallet would be advantageous.
