Your new company
You will be joining a high-profile, global specialist contractor operating across nuclear energy, defence and critical national infrastructure. This multi-accredited and industry-leading contractor works on some of the most complex and impactful programmes in science, security and sustainability, empowering people to grow, thrive and deliver meaningful change. As part of their continued growth, they are actively seeking a Commercial Manager to join their growing Sizewell C team. This is a full-time permanent position based in Leiston with hybrid working.
Your new role
As Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the commercial management of contracts throughout the entire project lifecycle, from procurement and contract award through to project delivery and final account close-out. Acting as the primary commercial point of contact, you will support contract performance, governance, supplier relationships, risk management and the successful achievement of commercial objectives across the project.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing commercial and contractual aspects of assigned contracts from pre-award through to completion
- Supporting procurement activities, including tender evaluations, negotiations and contract awards
- Administering NEC contracts, including change control, claims management and commercial reporting
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, contractors and key stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with project governance processes and commercial objectives
- Producing commercial reports, dashboards and contract records to support effective decision-making
- Supporting and developing junior commercial team members while collaborating closely with Procurement and Delivery teams.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven commercial and contract management experience within civil engineering, major infrastructure or construction
- Working knowledge of NEC form of contract
- Experience in procurement, contract administration, commercial negotiations, claims management and risk management
- Strong financial awareness and commercial decision-making capability
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills
- Full UK driving licence.
