A leading UK infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Agent to join a major highways improvement scheme in Norfolk.
The project includes the construction of a new link road, highway upgrades, structures, drainage infrastructure, utility diversions and associated civil engineering works.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in a high-profile infrastructure project from construction planning through to delivery and final handover.
Your new role
As Senior Agent, you will be responsible for leading the safe and efficient delivery of major highways and civil engineering works while managing engineering teams, supervisors and subcontractors.
Key duties will include
Managing engineering teams, site supervision and subcontractors.
Leading construction activities across highways, structures and associated civil engineering works.
Supporting programme management, procurement and cost control activities.
Developing safe, practical and efficient construction solutions alongside design teams.
Managing site surveys, temporary works and construction methodologies.
Ensuring compliance with quality, environmental and safety requirements.
Monitoring progress against programme and budget targets.
Managing stakeholder and client requirements throughout delivery.
Supporting project completion, commissioning and asset handover.
What you'll need to succeed
Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Valid CSCS Card.
SMSTS qualification.
Proven experience in a Senior Agent, Agent or Sub-Agent role within a principal contractor environment.
Strong knowledge of highways and infrastructure construction.
Experience managing site teams and subcontractors.
Understanding of NEC contracts and commercial awareness.
Experience managing temporary works and construction risk.
