Your new company is a well-established highways maintenance contractor seeking an experienced Highways Safety Inspector to support the safe operation and maintenance of the local highway network. Your new role as a Highways Safety Inspector will involve:

  • Undertaking routine and reactive highway safety inspections
  • Identifying and recording defects in line with inspection standards
  • Responding to emergency incidents and supporting operational teams
  • Providing front-line support to stakeholders and members of the public
  • Preparing accurate inspection records and reports
  • Liaising with delivery teams to ensure remedial works are completed
  • Promoting safe working practices and compliance with health and safety requirements

What you will need to succeed:

  • LANTRA Highway Safety Inspector qualification
  • Experience in highway maintenance and emergency response environments
  • Strong IT skills with the ability to maintain accurate records
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to analyse information and resolve problems effectively
  • Confidence working with stakeholders, customers, and members of the public
  • Professional, diplomatic, and approachable manner
