Your new company A leading independent firm of Chartered Surveyors is looking to expand its specialist Rating team due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work.

Renowned for delivering expert property advice across the residential and commercial sectors, the business offers an excellent platform for surveyors looking to develop their careers within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Your new role You will join a well-established Rating team, advising clients on Council Tax, Domestic Rating, valuation appeals and property taxation matters.

Working across a varied property portfolio, you will play a key role in reviewing assessments, identifying appeal opportunities and providing specialist advice to clients.

Key responsibilities will include

Managing Council Tax and Domestic Rating appeals.

Reviewing property assessments and identifying opportunities for reductions and rebanding.

Undertaking property inspections and valuation analysis.

Preparing reports and providing strategic advice to clients.

Building and maintaining strong client relationships.

Keeping up to date with relevant legislation and market developments.

Supporting wider professional services and valuation work where required.

What you'll need to succeed

Degree qualified in Real Estate, Surveying, Property or a related discipline.

Previous experience in Council Tax, Domestic Rating, valuation, general practice or a related property discipline.

MRICS qualified, APC enrolled, or looking to pursue chartership.

Strong analytical, communication and negotiation skills.

A proactive approach and genuine interest in building a career within rating and valuation consultancy.

Full UK driving licence preferred.
