We are currently recruiting for an experienced Housing Officer or Housing Assistant to join a busy and customer-focused housing team on a temporary contract for an initial period of 3 months, with the potential for extension. This is an excellent opportunity to support a well-established social housing organisation and make a real difference to local communities.
Your new role:
- Managing a designated housing patch and providing tenancy management support
- Dealing with tenant enquiries and resolving housing-related issues
- Supporting allocations, voids and lettings processes
- Assisting with rent arrears recovery and income management activities
- Investigating anti-social behaviour complaints and tenancy breaches
- Conducting home visits and estate management inspections
- Maintaining accurate housing records and case notes
- Delivering a high standard of customer service to tenants and stakeholders
What you'll need to succeed:
- Previous experience in a Housing Officer, Housing Assistant or similar housing management role
- Knowledge of social housing legislation and best practice
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritise workload effectively
- Strong IT skills and experience updating housing management systems
- A full UK driving licence and access to transport would be advantageous
