No two days are the same in this role, from strategic asset management and development opportunities through to landlord and tenant matters, acquisitions, disposals and regeneration projects, you will enjoy a breadth of work that is rarely available elsewhere.

Your new role

As an Estates Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of commercial and operational assets whilst supporting the council's wider property and place-shaping objectives.

Managing landlord and tenant matters, including lease renewals, rent reviews and licences.

Providing professional property advice across a diverse estate.

Supporting acquisitions, disposals and valuation activities.

Identifying opportunities to optimise and enhance property assets.

Contributing to regeneration, investment and development projects.

Helping to ensure that public assets generate both financial and social value.

What you'll need to succeed

Membership of the royal institute of chartered surveyors or working towards qualification.

Experience in commercial property, estate management, asset management or general practice surveying.

Strong knowledge of landlord and tenant matters.

Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
