We are looking for a commercially minded Estimator who enjoys diving into the detail and playing a key part in winning work. This role sits at the heart of the pre-construction activity and offers the chance to influence projects from the very start. You will be involved in a diverse portfolio of work spanning healthcare, leisure, retail, social housing and refurbishment, delivering high-quality solutions for both public-sector bodies and private clients.

The Role

As an Estimator, you will take ownership of preparing robust, competitive tenders across a range of construction and refurbishment schemes. Working alongside the commercial, pre-construction and delivery teams, you will ensure pricing is accurate, achievable, and aligned with business objectives. This is a role for someone who enjoys collaboration, understands construction methodology, and is confident balancing commercial risk with opportunity.

Key Duties

  • Producing comprehensive cost plans and tender estimates
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender information to identify scope and risks
  • Sourcing, assessing and comparing prices from subcontractors and suppliers
  • Creating detailed cost breakdowns and bills of quantities
  • Supporting bid strategies by highlighting value opportunities and potential risks
