A well-established regional main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Document Controller to support a £12M refurbishment project in Southampton. This is a part-time, hybrid role (3 days per week), working closely with the Commercial Director and Project Management team on site, helping to ensure the smooth running and organisation of project documentation. The business has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality refurbishment projects across the commercial and education sectors and offers a flexible working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all project documentation systems
- Support the Commercial Director and Project Management team with administrative and document control duties
- Ensure accurate filing, tracking, and distribution of all project documents
- Maintain revision control and ensure compliance with company procedures
- Coordinate document flow between site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders
- Assist with reporting, meeting documentation, and project correspondence
- Ensure documentation is up to date and easily accessible at all times
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Document Controller within construction
- Experience supporting site-based project or commercial teams
- Background working on refurbishment or similar schemes
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Proficient in document management systems (Trimble and SharePoint preferred, but not essential)
- Ability to work independently in a part-time, hybrid capacity
