Your new company Hays are working with a small, design-focused practice delivering bespoke residential and commercial projects across the North West. In what will be a key hire for the business, they're looking to appoint a Senior Architect who can take ownership of projects, manage client relationships and support the next stage of growth. The role offers a high degree of autonomy, direct client exposure and a clear route towards Associate level over time. You'll work across a varied portfolio of high-end residential projects, including extensions, remodels and full property transformations, alongside a growing volume of commercial and developer-led schemes. Whilst residential projects continue to form a significant proportion of the workload, the practice is looking to grow its commercial portfolio over the coming years and sees this appointment as a key part of that strategy.

Your new role

  • Very much a client-facing role with real creative freedom
  • Lead projects from initial survey through planning and technical design
  • Produce planning and building warrant packages using Revit
  • Manage client relationships and act as a trusted day-to-day contact
  • Coordinate consultants and contribute to project delivery strategy
  • Contribute to the continued development and expansion of the business, acting as a mentor to junior staff as the practice grows

What you'll need to succeed

  • ARB registered Architect with a minimum of 5 years' post part 3 experience
  • Strong Revit capabilities with experience delivering projects independently
  • Experience leading projects through planning and technical design
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work autonomously
  • Residential experience preferred, particularly bespoke or high-end residential projects, although applicants from other sectors will be considered
  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn and ambition to take on greater responsibility are considered just as important as sector background
