We are seeking an experienced and motivated Health & Building Safety Assurance Advisor to join our Business Assurance team.

This role plays a key part in supporting the delivery of a robust health and safety management system across a large, multi-site organisation, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and industry best practice.

The successful candidate will work closely with operational teams, contractors, and external regulatory bodies to provide assurance on health and safety performance, property compliance, and contractor management activities.

Key Responsibilities Provide advice, guidance, and practical support on health and safety matters across the organisation.

Conduct health and safety audits, inspections, investigations, and site visits.

Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of health and safety policies, procedures, and guidance.

Assist with monitoring compliance with building safety, property compliance, and statutory requirements.

Support assurance activities relating to Construction Design and Management (CDM) regulations and contractor performance.

Gather and analyse performance data to support reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

Deliver health and safety training and awareness sessions where required.

Participate in health and safety committees and contribute to organisational safety initiatives.

Liaise with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders, including health and safety enforcement bodies and emergency services where appropriate.

Develop action plans following audits or investigations and monitor progress through to completion.

To be successful in this role, you will have: Experience delivering and monitoring health and safety activities across a multi-site environment.

Strong understanding of current health and safety legislation, regulations, and industry codes of practice.

Knowledge of CDM Regulations and construction-related health and safety requirements. Professional health and safety qualification such as Tech IOSH or above.

NEBOSH Construction Certificate and/or SMSTS qualification. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Experience producing reports and presenting information to a range of audiences.

Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.

Full willingness and ability to travel across the region as required.

What is included?

This role is offering £26.91 per hour including holiday, paid on a weekly basis.

You will be required to go into the office based in Coventry as and when required, offering a flexible hybrid working pattern.

This role is for 8 weeks, covering sickness.
