HMP Cardiff is a Category B men\’s prison located in Cardiff.
Your new roleIn your new role as a cleaning operative, you will be carrying out general cleaning duties throughout the prison site (not wings):
Vacuuming
Mopping
Emptying bins
Cleaning surfaces etc.
Tidying
Your hourly rates are as follows and inclusive of holidays:
Standard: £14.62 P/ Hour
What you\’ll need to succeed
Your new role does not require any experience as full training is provided. However, experience would be beneficial. A good understanding of chemical colour coding (COSHH). You will need to have strong communication skills, be hard-working, and practical. In order to be successful, you\’ll also need to pass a security clearance procedure due to the nature of the role and provide satisfactory references that cover the last 3 years of employment.
