Facilities Manager Our client is a well-established property and asset management business with a long-standing reputation for delivering professional property services across the North West of England and North Wales. Managing a diverse commercial property portfolio, the organisation provides high levels of customer service, asset management and facilities support to a broad range of clients. Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Facilities Manager to join their Property & Asset Management team based in Chester. Your new role As Facilities Manager, you will support the delivery of facilities management services across a varied commercial property portfolio throughout the North West and North Wales. You will work closely with occupiers, contractors and clients to ensure properties are managed effectively, compliant with legislation and maintained to a high standard. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Facilities professional looking to develop their career within a highly respected property consultancy and asset management environment. The role is initial on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract. However, the role will likely be extended and potentially transition into a permanent contract. Key responsibilities: Deliver a high level of facilities management service across a commercial property portfolio. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, tenants and stakeholders. Manage contractor performance and service delivery across multiple sites. Support the procurement and management of facilities-related contracts. Oversee maintenance activities and ensure works are completed to required standards. Monitor property compliance requirements and assist with statutory obligations. Manage administrative processes and maintain accurate property records. Assist with budget management, cost control and service charge expenditure. Support customer service initiatives and resolve property-related issues. Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities. Liaise with surveyors, contractors and suppliers regarding operational requirements. Ensure health and safety standards are maintained across managed properties. Provide regular reporting and updates to clients and internal stakeholders. Support business objectives through effective facilities and asset management practices. What you'll need to succeed Previous experience in Facilities Management, from within a Commercial setting - Office, Retail or Industrial Experience managing contractors, maintenance activities and service providers. Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills. Good organisational and administrative abilities. Experience working within a commercial property environment would be advantageous. Understanding of budgeting, contract management and business processes. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. Good IT and reporting skills. BIFM/IWFM accreditation or equivalent FM qualification would be advantageous. IOSH or NEBOSH qualification would be beneficial but is not essential. What you'll get in return Opportunity to join a respected and growing property and asset management business.
