Due to impressive growth, this consultancy is now looking for an enthusiastic Senior or Associate Quantity Surveyor to join their team. Your new role
As the Senior or Associate Quantity Surveyor, you will work on some of the leading, award-winning projects across East Anglia, including London and Oxford. These will be across Industrial, Education, Office, Research and Life Science, Healthcare, Leisure and independent schools, up to the value of £500m.
You will help deliver all aspects of Cost Management Consultancy and work in collaboration with your colleagues to provide a first-class service. You will be supported to develop your skill set, share ideas and help drive the success of the business.
Duties Include:
- Be responsible for client care and management.
- Lead Cost Management commissions, taking responsibility for their successful delivery.
- Identify new project opportunities and follow them to a successful conclusion.
- Ensure commissions are managed and completed efficiently, on time and to the client's satisfaction.
- Develop strong reciprocal relationships with clients and members of the project team.
- Deliver cost management outputs, in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards.
- Attend networking and industry social events outside of normal working hours to promote the company and its staff.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will ideally have consultancy experience and be chartered or working towards a chartership. You will be innovative and passionate about the industry and the service you provide. In addition, you will have good and demonstrable cost management experience and the following:
- Degree Qualified - BSc or MSc - in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management.
- Professionally Qualified - ideally Chartered Quantity Surveying Status with the RICS, CIOB or other equivalent institution.
- Proven experience in a consulting environment providing the full spectrum of CM services, including Pre-Contract Estimating; Procurement; Contract Administration, Cost Reporting and Final Account resolution.
- Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on cost, value and risk, not just cost in isolation.
- Ability to work under your own initiative where appropriate, working closely with the Directors in the delivery of some of our projects.
- Experience of preparing bid submissions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects for a variety of public and private sector clients.
