Your new company Hays are working with a well-established engineering consultancy based in Belfast that continues to secure a strong pipeline of work across multiple sectors. Due to sustained growth, they are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join their dynamic and collaborative team.
Your new role As a Structural Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, analysis, and delivery of structural projects from concept through to completion. You will be involved in producing high quality technical outputs, managing project workloads, and working closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver efficient and sustainable engineering solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing detailed civil and structural designs using AutoCAD, Revit, and appropriate analysis and design software
- Producing drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical reports
- Managing projects to ensure delivery to agreed timescales and budgets
- Coordinating with multidisciplinary design teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and stakeholders while ensuring regulatory compliance
- Undertaking site inspections and monitoring construction activities to ensure quality and design compliance
- Keeping up to date with industry developments and incorporating innovative practices into project delivery
What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in a structural engineering role within a consultancy environment
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant structural analysis and design software
- Solid project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Good technical knowledge of structural systems, construction processes, and materials
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and project teams
- An organised and proactive approach with the ability to meet tight deadlines
