An established and highly respected multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking an Associate Director to join its growing Belfast office. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure, transportation, and civil engineering projects across the UK and Ireland, this organisation offers the opportunity to lead complex schemes, develop client relationships, and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.

As an Associate Director, you will provide technical and commercial leadership across a range of civil engineering projects while managing and mentoring a multidisciplinary team. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, oversee project delivery, drive business development activities, and contribute to the strategic direction of the Belfast office.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the delivery of major civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
  • Managing project teams to ensure quality, programme, and budget targets are achieved.
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Supporting the growth and development of junior and senior engineers.
  • Providing technical oversight and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Chartered status (CEng MICE or equivalent).
  • Significant experience within an engineering consultancy environment.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Strong client-facing and business development capabilities.
  • Excellent knowledge of infrastructure and civil engineering design projects.
  • Experience managing project finances, programmes, and resources.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
