An established Housing Association in the West of Scotland is looking to appoint an experienced Housing Manager to lead the operational delivery of high-quality housing management services. This is a key leadership position, working closely with the Director-level team to ensure services remain customer-focused, compliant and responsive to the needs of tenants and communities. The successful candidate will also lead the organisation's approach to tenant participation and engagement, ensuring tenants help influence service delivery.
Your new role:
- Lead the operational delivery of the organisation's housing management service.
- Provide effective line management, support and development to the Housing Management Team.
- Ensure services comply with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and the Scottish Social Housing Charter.
- Lead the delivery of the tenant participation and engagement strategy.
- Promote a culture of excellent customer service shaped by tenant feedback and consultation.
- Support organisational change and help the wider team embrace new ways of working.
- Monitor and report on budgets, KPIs, performance, social value and operational risks.
- Work collaboratively with community organisations, regulators, auditors and other external partners.
- Build effective stakeholder relationships, including those connected to nominations, leases and management agreements.
- Contribute to the Operational Management Team and provide reports to the Board and relevant committees.
- Oversee the accurate and timely collection of ARC data and support the implementation of audit actions.
- Ensure equality, diversity and inclusion are embedded across the service and organisational culture.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Degree-level education in a relevant discipline, or equivalent professional experience or attainment.
- Strong line management experience within housing management.
- Experience of developing and delivering housing management strategies.
- A proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams to provide excellent, customer-focused services.
- Financial and budgetary control experience.
- Experience of performance monitoring and continuous improvement.
- Experience of working with Boards and committees.
- Strong stakeholder and partnership-management skills.
- A good understanding of housing legislation, regulation and the Scottish Social Housing Charter.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- A full driving licence and access to a car for business use.
- A flexible and adaptable approach, including willingness to attend occasional meetings or training outside normal office hours.
