Assistant Housing Officer in Alloa

Your new company Hays is delighted to be working with an established Housing Association to recruit an Assistant Housing Services Officer to join their Housing Services team on a temporary basis until 18/12/2026.This is a varied role supporting Housing Services Officers with the delivery of a high-quality, generic housing management service. The successful candidate will gain exposure across key areas including allocations, rent arrears, tenancy sustainment, tenancy management, anti-social behaviour, estate management and tenant engagement. Your new role Supporting the allocations process, including housing applications, offers, viewings, new tenant sign-ups and tenancy terminations. Assisting with rent arrears recovery, Universal Credit queries and tenant payment arrangements. Supporting tenancy sustainment through visits, referrals and access to appropriate advice services. Managing tenancy matters, including neighbour disputes, anti-social behaviour and changes to tenancies. Supporting estate management and addressing environmental or tenancy-related issues. Encouraging tenant participation and engagement, including supporting tenant groups and digital engagement. Providing housing advice and contributing to performance reporting.What you'll need to succeed You'll ideally have experience within social housing or a housing-related environment, with strong customer service and communication skills. Experience across housing management, allocations, arrears or tenancy management would be particularly relevant. What you'll get in return Grade 6 hourly equivalent Contract until 18th Dec 2026.
