Your new company You will be joining an established utilities contractor based in the Birmingham area working on multi-utility schemes for high-profile clients. This organisation offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development as well as the opportunity to work on an array of exciting projects. Having secured an additional £30m worth of work on top of their already healthy order book, they are looking to onboard a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. Your new role As Quantity Surveyor, you will be based in their Birmingham office and be responsible for, but not limited to: Producing and providing accurate forecasts of project costs to completion/final value Managing subcontractor accounts Liaising with clients and other key project stakeholders Monitoring cash flow and valuation plans Managing subcontractor tender processes Providing accurate reports of costs and values on the projects on a weekly basis. What you’ll need to succeed In order to be successful, you will have: Experience at an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor level Good working knowledge of NEC form of contract Sound negotiation and organisational skills A doer attitude and be able to liaise with clients, site teams and subcontractors.
