Your new company Hays has been retained by an established mechanical contractor who is seeking to recruit a Mechanical Estimator. Established over 20 years, this contractor is a leading specialist in Mechanical Services who undertake a range of commercial and large-scale residential projects throughout Northern Ireland. Your new role You will review project plans and specifications, estimate costs for materials, labour, and prepare and submit detailed bid proposals. You will collaborate with engineers, project managers, secure and negotiate pricing from suppliers, and identify and mitigate potential risks. Additionally, you will manage project budgets, interpret technical drawings, monitor progress, and adjust estimates as needed. What you’ll need to succeed The successful candidate will be a self-starter, capable of working on their own initiative, have excellent communications skills and work well as part of a team.
